Here. We are seeking a research assistant for ‘e-Co Architecture: A Cooperative Fab-Lab Exploring Ecological Community Facilities.’

Responsibilities:

Recording wood data using 3D scanning, assisting the student helper.

Design the prototype and carving using CNC/ Robotics and assist with the community.

Support with exhibitions

developing framework and platform combines database, design optimization, and construction.

Qualifications:

Techniques requirements: 3D Rhino-Grasshopper; 3D scanning; AI, ML, DL,; Robotics and AR-assistant assembly (optional); AR/VR, Unity.

Additional Information:

“Ecological architecture” calls for a paradigm shift in architectural processes, urging designers to consider the externalities imposed on other biological species and the environment. This study aims to explore how salvaged windthrow and other solid wastes can be repurposed and seamlessly integrated into architectural processes. However, upcycling presents unique challenges in volatile material supply, difficult craftsmanship, and design complexity.
